To my sweet Mateo:
My sweet baby I hope when you get older you remember all these happy memories and carry them with you for the rest of your life. Also, that you are able to tell your children about them one day! I wish nothing but to see you happy and feel loved by not just me, but by the people that surround you and are there for you each and every day. I hope that you understand that momma did her best each and every day to see you happy and feel loved. Today you turned 5 years old and I want you to know that you given me the most AMAZING 5 years of my life. You have given me strength when I have felt hopeless and defeated. You have said things like " You can do it momma" when you see me stressed or " Momma I love you" when I am crying. You might not understand right now how much those simple words have saved me from myself. I thank God each and every day for given me you and allowing me to love you for the rest of my life.
Mateo I love you with all my heart and remember that even if you are 60 years old you will always be my little boy and I will love you more than anything in this world.
I cannot begin to explain how I feel about Mateo turning 5 years old. My little baby isn't a baby anymore and he is becoming his own little person with his own personality and a whole lot of stubbornness. These last 5 years have flown by in the blink of an eye and I am just amazed and thankful for all the memories, he has brought to my life since he was born. As a mother I never knew how bittersweet it is to see our babies grow up and seeing them become their own person, the one that God planned for them to become. I am not going to lie but most of the time I don't know if I am doing things right, but one thing I am sure of is that Mateo is happy. That is all that is ever matter to me, as for the rest of the stuff I will continue to figure them out as I go because I have learned that as a mother I have to give my self GRACE, and I have done just that the last couple years.
This year I decided to skip the birthday party because we recently moved back home and he is new to his classroom. Also we been through so much the last couple months we needed a small getaway and be in a place that only brought happiness. So I decided to take him to Disney World in Orlando, Florida. We had the best 5 days and we created so many memories and had a lot of laughter. I couldn't be happier with my decision. I want to thank my best friend Morgan for going on last minute adventures with us. We love you so much boo boo! Also I want to give the biggest thank you to Jody from Small World Big Fun. She made this getaway more memorable and we had no worries because she planned everything for us. So if you are thinking of going to Disney World and don't know where to start Jody is your girl!
